Calvin is a guitarist and producer who graduated with first-class honors from LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA (Hons) Degree in Music. He started playing the guitar at the age of 14, which eventually turned into a passion that became his career path. He pursued his dreams of music by obtaining a Diploma in Music at LASALLE College of the Arts, gaining valuable knowledge and experience that have served him well throughout his career.

 

Calvin has nine years of teaching experience, working at neighborhood schools and providing private lessons. His aim at Calvin's Guitar Lab is to provide quality lessons to all students. He understands that every student has different goals and tailors the lessons to ensure they can achieve their objectives while learning at a comfortable pace, all while ensuring continuous improvement.

 

Calvin has been active in the music scene for about 11 years, playing for local artists such as Reub, Sherman Zhuo, Gail Belmonte, and many others. He has also recorded guitar for local as a session guitarist, putting his skills to work.

 

Calvin co-runs a production house, Clearwater Studio, which offers music production services including writing, recording, mixing, and mastering. He was one of the six winners of UCompose 2021, hosted by Universal Music, along with his partner in the production house, and had his work showcased in New York City.He strives to provide clients with the highest quality of work while helping them realize their dreams of becoming artists.

 

Currently, he is running Calvin's Guitar Lab, Clearwater Studio, and sessioning for various local artists.

 

In his free time, he enjoys photography and gaming.
